WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

William Shakespeare was an English poet and playwright. He is regarded as one of the most important writers in the English Language.

Shakespeare was born and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon; his parents John Shakespeare and Mary Arden baptized him on 26 April 1564. He was educated at the King´s New School in Stratford, a free school chartered in 1553.

When he was 18, he married Anne Hathaway and they had three children: Susanna, and the twins Judith and Hamnet who died when he was eleven.

Around 1613, he moved to Stratford where he died three years later.

Shakespeare wrote 38 plays (comedies, histories and tragedies), 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems and several poems. 2. I also liked the article, a bit too short perhaps. I would recommend a comedy to start with Shakespeare.
